June 3rd offsite events at the Kirkland and Bothell Library! Meet Mary Ann Gwinn & Toni Yuly! Summer Reading For All Ages KICK OFF recommended books for Preschoolers, Kids, Teens and Adults. The Seattle Times Lit-Life columnist and book editor Mary Ann Gwinn will share stories about books, authors and her career in reading (at 11 am in Kirkland& 3 p.m. in Bothell). The acclaimed illustrator and author, Toni Yuly will read from her popular picture books for children and share creative ideas (at 11 a.m. in Bothell and at 3 p.m. in Kirland!) UPDATE June 25th - The Tik Tik Tik Type-In is being re-schedule to July.... Don't worry it will happen soon. If you remember this from April, come join the fun and type something on classic manual typewriters dating from the turn of the century through the 1970s. We had so much fun last time, we certainly had to do it again! It’s for the whole family – so bring the kids too!
July 2nd - Author of the just published Union Jack (about John F Kennedy’s special relationship with Great Britain), Christopher Sandford will be at BookTree discussing and signing his book at 3:30 P.M.
July 18th – 7 P.M. Kirkland favorite…. Dave Boling (Guernica) will be talking about and signing his new book; Lost History of the Stars. This is an offsite event and will require advance reservations… details soon. Mark the date!
