WE WEAR THE MASK writing workshop Persona poetry & artwork 4:24 to 6pm

Reading - 6:15 pm Michael Magee (his new collection Shiny Things!) followed by Open Mic

For the workshop -- the concept of “masks” and how they serve as metaphors both for poetry and as images in painting. Also, how their symbolic nature leads to: personification, projection, personae as they provide a way of addressing ourselves as the viewer/reader inhabits them.

Uwe Arendt is known as a multi discipline artist. His brilliant and colorful abstractions of nature and his strikingly powerful and emotional portraits define his talents.

Michael Magee is a poet and playwright whose poems and plays have been published and produced here and in England. His most recent book “Shiny Things” has just been published by MoonPath Press. His work appears in Verse Daily and he was recently interviewed on BookNook and Sound Poetry and on MoonPath Press' Zoom Readings.
