Bio: -- Melanie Reed is an artist, writer, poet. She's a Northwest native, surrealist and collage artist, leads a writing group every Wednesday Start Lines Writers Group at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park 7 pm. Her recently published book of poetry is Wholehearted Half Truths and her novella is Every Other Day. Melanie Reed has been reading and writing stories since age 6 and making visual art for several decades. Her graphic novel/epic poem/book artwork “The Scrapbook of Dreams” can be found in the University of Washington’s Suzzallo Library special collections.

Bio — Laura Musikanski — loves the invigorating sensation of letting poetry flow onto the page. She is an author who has published books and academic articles, including The Happiness Policy Handbook, The Happiness Index Methodology, and the first coursebook that makes the connection between personal happiness and planetary sustainability. She has also created and co-created several zines that convey the journey toward happiness.
